Director and Coach

Jack joined Pinnacle Performance in 2020 and has played a key role in shaping the company’s growth, services, and athlete centred approach. With a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science from Deakin University - ranked #1 globally in sport science - his coaching is built on a strong foundation of applied physiology, training theory, and real-world experience.

Jack has worked with professional athletes racing internationally in events such as the road world championships, as well as juniors, masters, and developing riders. He understands the physical and psychological demands of the sport and brings a practical, individualised approach to helping athletes improve performance, stay consistent, and build confidence.

​

As a rider himself, Jack has competed across Europe at various levels - including racing in Spain, Belgium, New Zealand, and Ireland - and currently races in the Australian ProVelo Super League. He combines this experience with coaching knowledge, and modern sport science to guide athletes through the nuances of racing, training, and long-term progression.

​

His coaching style is based on effective and engaged communication, coupled with a clear understanding of performance demands - aimed at developing smart, resilient riders with the tools to perform and grow.

Tynan is Pinnacle Performance's lead strength and conditioning coach, with a strong focus on building durability, movement efficiency, and functional strength for endurance athletes. He holds a dual degree in Sport Science and Sports Management and has just graduated a Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology.

​

As an athlete, Tynan has competed nationally in cycling and raced internationally, with additional high-level experience in football and cricket. He has coached a variety of cyclists and his coaching style is built on effective communication, well-planned periodisation, and a clear understanding of how strength work integrates with endurance performance.

​

He works with athletes across all levels to help them become stronger, more balanced, and more resilient - looking at the entire holistic picture centred around the athlete.
